An application that focuses on the security in the main entrance at the airport passenger Terminal where  monitoring system being installed. System designs to detect and identify materials and particles  categorized as hazardous or classified as explosives, using ultrasound signals / waves to detect and trace the threat, then identify it through various mechanisms such as ‘image analyzing process’.

The technique contains two important segments: 1- detection process; 2- identification process; the detection process consists of physical operation that engages devices and equipment to browsing through the object(s) (propagation) and acquire information (attenuation) and then send the information to the other part that analyses the information and identifies the content and issues alarm when anomalies established.


Detection process involves the use of equipment and sensor devices that produce accurate data from the object. And through the algorithm processing, obtained information being analyzed.

Ultrasound wave are beyond human hearing level >20,000 khz. When ultrasound propagtes to hit an object it travel through environment until reach its target. When it reaches the object, some portion of waves travel throug hthe object and some being distort and some bounced back. Those waves that reflects back carries data and information. Information then interpreted through different mechanism.

Technical overview

Ultrasonic Detection System (UDS) consist of two segments: a hardware and a software. Hardware detects the anomaly and software designed to analyse and then identify the contents of the detected object. A Transducer generate and send signals and waves to objects for scannign and build image then send the scanning image to the software for further identification process.
